Elips field joints are designed to withstand even the most severe working conditions, and have been proven over many years of installation work in all parts of the world.
Elips supplies a complete range of field joints to insulate the welded connections between lengths of service pipe, using on-site foaming.. All these joints can be installed under humid and/or wet working conditions with no risk of the insulation foam getting wet. They are completely watertight.
Weldable jointing system
The Elips weldable joint system includes the BandJoint and EW jointing systems, which are designed to remain sealed in order to ensure maximum safety and durability, and at the same time keep heat loss to the absolute minimum.
The weldable system for both BandJoint and EW joint is based on a computer-controlled thermoplastic welding process. This ensures joints of unparalleled strength that set significant new benchmarks in dependability.
Shrinkable jointing system
The Elips shrinkable joint system includes the SXJoint and BXS jointing systems, which are designed in order to ensure maximum safety and durability, and at the same time keep heat loss to the absolute minimum.
Both the SXJoint and BXS casing joints are made of cross-linked polyethylene (PEX) and designed to take full advantage of the special properties of this extremely resilient and durable material. This enables them to remain sealed throughout their entire service life.
